Attorney Profile:
D. Colby Addison

Born and Raised Oklahoman. Husband. Father. Tribal Supreme Court Justice. Trial Lawyer. Litigator. Super Lawyer. Administrative Law Judge. AmeriCorps Volunteer. Son of a Prison Warden. These are some of the titles and roles that have defined Colby’s personal and professional career.

Underneath the titles exists a personal and professional philosophy that drives him each day: lean into helping others each day through passion, care, and humility.

As an experienced trial lawyer and litigator, Colby is proud to say that he has successfully advocated for his clients over the years and secured millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts.

When not advocating in the courtroom, Colby represents businesses and governments through consulting and general counsel work. Policy advising, contract negotiations, operational planning, system development, compliance, and economic development consulting are all subject matters that he is retained to assist on.

Tribal government and enterprise consulting is one of Colby’s most significant passions. He is a strong advocate for tribal sovereignty and is invested in seeing the growth and development of native nations.
